Alongside my artistic practice, I work as a dramaturg and narrative consultant for artists working with narrative.

The artists I collaborate with range from filmmakers and visual artists to musicians and performers. I believe all of these practices engage with narrative, and all can benefit from in-depth attention to how story, structure and rhythm are working.

When working with an artist, I help identify the underlying structure, rhythm and narrative components of their project. Together, we develop a way of bringing these elements together so that the work’s meaning resonates clearly with the artist’s intention. I often work with artists whose projects don’t fit a classic three-act frame, or take multiple forms (for example, a radio play and an installation).

I offer close readings, early development support, feedback on edits and post-production, writing workshops and tailored one-to-one support.
